GOLF
Skaha Meadows Golf Course
It is only a 5 minute walk to Skaha Meadows Golf Course and is renowned in the Okanagan area for its friendly atmosphere. With six par 4's and one par 5, the 2,435 yard, 9-hole layout is both challenging and rewarding. The natural meadow setting with native grasses and well-maintained, tree-lined fairways makes playing Skaha Meadows a great course for all players.

A 7 minute drive will bring you to the Penticton Golf & Country Club, an 18-hole course and proud to have one of the best conditioned golf courses in the Okanagan Valley offering a variety of challenges for all players.

Play Estate Winery
Situated a short 8 minute walk from Lakeside Villa, Play focuses on wines representative of this unique terroir, offering exceptional wine experiences in a picturesque setting overlooking Skaha Lake. The winery’s focus is on crafting fresh and elegant wines, uncovering natural layers of complexity to shine a light on what makes our vineyards unique. This burgeoning winery is home to Sonneto at Play Restaurant.
The Heart of Wine Country
With Okanagan Falls at its heart, these 15 vineyards stretch Northwards along the East Bench of Skaha Lake and across the water to Kaleden and then South over rolling hills above Vaseux Lake. The furthest of these wineries is only 20 minutes from Lakeside Villa.
CYCLING
Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) Trail
Located next to the Lakeside Villa the most renowned location for leisure cycling in Penticton is the Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) Trail. Join the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and head south along the shore of Skaha Lake. You’ll pass through the village of Kaleden. In Okanagan Falls, you have another good option to ride down to Vaseux Lake along the historic KVR Trail.
E-Kruise Electric Bicycles
Is there a better way to tour Okanagan wine country? Rent an electric bicycle and take a self-guided tour with your BFFs. Sit back, relax, take in the flavours, soak up the scenery, and enjoy the E-Kruise experience. Located next door to the Lakeside Villa you can book in advance on line to have your e-bike ready for you day of riding.
WATER FUN
Barefoot Beach on Skaha Lake
Access to this private gated beach is available to all guests of Lakeside Villa Inn & Suites. A short two-minute walk in a passage way under the road provides safe access to the best beach in Penticton. Private washrooms, fire pits and picnic tables are also available for motel guests.
Channel Float
One of Penticton’s top bucket list items on a hot summer day is to lie back on a rubber floatie and let the lazy river carry your stress away. The 7 km lake to lake channel float is a must do summer activity in Penticton and great fun for the whole family. The float starts at Coyote Cruises on Riverside Drive and slowly drifts from Okanagan Lake all the way down to Skaha Lake

Conveniently located across the street from Lakeside Villa Inn & Suites, Wright’s Beach Boat Rentals have ski boats, waverunners, pedal boats, paddle boards and kayaks available for hourly and daily use.
WINTER ENTERTAINMENT
Apex Mountain Resort
Lakeside Villa Inn & Suites is only 35 minutes from Apex Mountain Resort (closest accommodation in Penticton) without having to stay on the mountain. With an average of 600 cm of annual snowfall, Apex provides the moderate winter conditions and dry powder snow craved by skiers and snowboarders alike. Apex Mountain Resort is the only mountain in the Okanagan that faces northeast, those beautiful powder snow crystals are less affected by the sun and the famous light, dry powder snow can survive for days after a snowfall.
